"When police seized the family's computers they found the mother in particular, had been searching the web using phrases like: "Where can you hurt someone a lot by hitting them" and "the easiest way to kill an old person"

show's the quality of perpetrator we have here 
I really cant think of a suitable punishment for these type of people, no doubt they will go down for a period of time from a few years for the "Mother" to a few months for the pleb children she dragged into it including the "girlfriend". Only to be released back into public life to sign on and carry on as normal, yeah I know assumption, stereotyping....
What gets me is the "girlfriend", now I dont care how thick some people are in this country but when your boyfriend and/or his mother invite you to murder the old man for their inheritance surely alarm bells will ring in any sane persons head. I wonder what they offered her, 20 Silk Cut and a Happy Meal on the way home.

I did read it.
I still don't see why they should point out his child was adopted....they never mentioned his adopted daughter was helped in the attack by her 'birth' son.

Seems the courts found them guilty as well, why wait 2 months for sentencing though.
Hopefully a proper sentence and not a looters sentence...
