Security guards.

Security guards.
So i went to a hill climb event at the weekend, me and a few mates are stood on a bend along with 50 or so other people, behind one of those concrete barriers the moveable ones like they use on the motorway and there is also your standard type armco barrier in front of that.
So lots of people that know this security guard are milling about around him and quit close to the barrier and blocking the view of the cars coming round the bend, so as you do i just tried to find a slightly better vantage point.
Which was further away from the barriers than his compadres, at which point he comes over to me and says go over there, which i don't have a problem with , but as i turned he pushed me.
Which happens to be a personal pet hate of mine, especially when it's some guy who is bigger than me and thinks that means he can push me around.
Needless to say i was not pleased, and shall be having words when we next meet and he is in a less offical capacity.
What do you peeps think am i over reacting, or do you think he has the right to man handle me,and i'm being over sensitive.

These people who usually only get these jobs due to their size rather than their intellect.
I was pushed albeit gently by one these monkeys with the accompanying shout "move" when walking through a crowd in Leicester Sq when there was a film premier on. Crowds were gathered and behind barriers to see Julia Roberts. I was just passing through. I'm not tall or big but I did stop and put my face up to his and in the same tone as he used just said to him "move, please" to which he replied "oh sorry" so I moved on. There was a coppper standing very close observing though which gave me a bit of bravado.

Sounds like a bit of the "drest with brief authority" syndrome.
I would be just as annoyed as you at being pushed around and would have found it difficult not to tell him what I thought about his actions.

You should of said "do you know who I am?" followed by a swift headbutt!
Seriously though he sounds like he was power tripping and giving it the big-un.

He has no authority to touch you unless you are causing
1. A direct problem to the activity being held, i.e standing in the middle of the course or
2. Causing some else a direct problem i.e. shouting abuse or physically hitting them
Technically if he pushes you its ABH (actual bodily harm), silly I know but true....
I say kick him in the nuts when you see him next

My thoughts exactly.
As soon as he said over there i turned around headed in the direction he was pointing in, then he pushed me.
At which point i gave him "the look" lol and continued on my way as there was a local plod sat in a car about 20 metres away, and i did not fancy being shot.
I should also point out that this is in croatia.

Except i'm english, and i have a 2dr subaru and everyone knows it, small community full of gossips.
Police man right there, not a good idea to start a conflict when they are around they have a bit of a batton / shoot first ask questions later mentality here.
And i'm the english guy so obviously it's my fault.
and they are probably related. i **** you not.

I have heard that in principal its best not to **** with people from countries that have had a recent nationalistic war. If you lose you get a good kicking if you win as a foreigner you get put in prison, and then get a good kicking.

People who can fight know that it's not a good idea as things get very messy, so don't go pushing people they don't know around and also don't feel the need to.
In short the question is not will i kick his ***, it's should i.
Also the art of war clearly states, pick a time and a place that gives you the advantage. that time and place was neither.lol.
Oh and i grew up in st anns, meadows, radford, hyson green and broxtow, i know all about war.

AFAIK "assaults agains the person" in this way is occasioning "common assault and battery".........at least that's what I was taught if I pushed a patient out of the surgery.
Mind you that was a few years ago LOL

People who pick on others can't fight and it's even more true of the big ones as most of them are bullies and some smaller guys are intimidated by this so have lost before they start as they don't fancy their chances so either bottle it or take a slap and go on there way hence big lads thinking they can fight when actually most of them have never really been in a fight.

Calm down, Conan.
Like I said, what are you going to do, hunt him down a week later and beat him up?
Get over it and relax.
