Apparently stepping out is good for you!
Well i lasted approx. 20minutes before returning to my home. I've been a bit down in the dumps lately and its my day off today, my missus told me thismorning get out of the house for a bit and it'll cheer you up.
Well if navigating an obstacle course of dog ****, foreigners, perverse looking old men and obese women with babywalkers is your idea of being cheered up then I can definitely recommend it. I myself will never be leaving the house again!

I tend to walk most places , a good few miles a day I would think. A good time is twilight when you can nose into peoples living rooms . Very good for you as well.

I ride my bike or walk most days, I am lucky enough to live near lots of countryside, I can either get aggravated mooching round some chav infested retail park or ride through the Bollin Valley and not see a single other person and those you do see tend to be nice people who say hello, honestly as for quality of life, getting away from roads and shops makes a big difference, riding without angry little men in Audi A5's flying past on the phone does wonders.

Strangely, that's the very reason I leave my house.

Agree with Jacko....
Get out and walk for an hour in the countryside, you always have a changing scenery with something new to look at.
The air is cleaner, you can actually breath the stuff.
Getting out on a bike is good too,it gives you something else to concentrate on whilst your out and about.
If your a bit down in the dumps its the best tonic..
You could always go on the smash and you will feel great for a few hours, but then **** for a few days.

Definitely walking in the wrong place. I don't mind a walk 'round town or the student area around here to enjoy watching the wildlife but proper walking needs to be out of the city. Even Google do it.... Malham Cove
