So, our Penshioners get a cut in the winter fuel allowance, and these beggars wander over here and get that amount of benefits, with no contribution to the Country at all

If theyre assylum *seekers* ( crucially ) they cant get unemployment benefit !
Not allowed to work either , unless its changed recently.
And if theyre fresh into the country some agency acting on the governments behalf will be creaming 5 times that figure for housing them !
This is the daily mail , and about a million years old

IF, and it's a BIG IF, they ARE asylum seekers, they ahve broken the law and should be deported forthwith.
the law on asylum is clear: you seek asylum in the FIRST COUNTRY you come to after leaving the one you are running from.
So unless they are French, Irish, Dutch or came by plane, GET THEM GONE, THEY AREN'T ASYLUM SEEKERS, JUST THIEVING ECONOMIC MIGRANTS AND WE DON'T NEED THEM HERE!!!!!!!!!!

We've been on the decline since the 1960s, but Labour sped up the rate of decline massively.
The place is a freeloader's paradise now. One of the highest tax regimes in the world, but with a standard of living that doen't mirror that.

Until we all start standing up, instead of lying down and saying shaft me, it won't change.
It infuriates me that our older people are being made to take less money for winter, we have loads of our own, who are homeless, yet they give to these wasters
Furious is not a strong enough word.
This Country is finished. If I was younger (to repeat myself) I would be outtahere

I don't understand why we don't just put them on a plane and send them back where they came from.
It's crazy to pay this to people including the ones that are born here.
we really do need to make people who have never paid into the system work collecting rubbish in the fast lane of the M1
They need to be made to do something for the money they receive then we would soon see the jobless figures tumble

I am always one for trying to look at the facts rather than Daily Fail sensationalism, whipping the public into a frenzy but it does seem very extravagant to be lavishing all these public funds on people who do not contribute, we have a duty to take a certain amount of people but it seems disproportionate what we end up with,
I take issue with people saying they "Hate the c****", why ? it isn't their fault, cant blame them for wanting to escape an oppressive regime or even just to get away from some dusty sh1thole, the problem is the system that lets them in and keeps spunking our money on them !
I think a lot of it is councils, they have immigrants and bleeding hearts in the positions that administer all this and they just lavish money on them, once they are in we are stuck with them, like I said we have a duty but we are a small island with limited space and resources, we are full and the amount of immigration is ridiculous, the government need to get very tough and only allow in the talented, those who can finance themselves and agreed, strict numbers of asylum seekers with the premise that they get sent home when things change.
We end up with whole towns colonized with immigrants, then they send for their families, then they multiply, ok, some may be contributing but there seems to be swathes of non english speaking benefits tourists, we cant afford them and neither can we afford our indigenous scroungers, TDW mentioned a kind of scope creep from the councils, its like the BBC, that turned into a monster and so do the councils, a serious look at what they do needs taking,

I'm slightly mystified by some of the outrage on display here. Yes, it's scandalous that piles of money are being spent on people who've done essentially nothing for it, but the article does make it clear the system is being tightened up:
"Crucially for the Ethiopian family, they began claiming benefits shortly before the April 1 cut-off for large claims introduced by the Government to tackle fears the system was being abused. ...
... But although benefits capping began on April 1 for all new claimants, those already getting more than £20,000 a year in housing benefit are being given up to nine months to adjust."
So, at least something is being done, and by the end of the year we should expect to see these people living somewhere far less extravagant.
