Cool Holiday in Ireland

Been invited to my cousin's wedding in August, he's marrying an Irish lass so the wedding is over there.

Was thinking of making a bit of a break out of it. The wedding is on the Belmullet Peninsular in County Mayo, was wondering whether to stay around there after or move on somewhere else after. Looks nice, lots of coastline to explore, etc. Anyone got any experience of what's good around the area? Not after night life or anything just the great outdoors.

Will also have a three month old baby in tow so planning to take the car over on the ferry to make life easier with respect to all the baby stuff we'll need. Will drive across from Dublin.

Cheers,

CD

Agreed
Take a drive round Molls Gap if you can
And bring plenty of funny money too, because its bloody expensive in Southern Ireland
Lots of people I know travel to Northern Ireland do their shopping because of the costs

County Clare is very nice also....lovely scenery and nice driving roads around there and lots of nice places to visit such as:

The Burren is also very nice and there are loads of bus trips run from various places in and around the Galway area:

....and the Alwee Caves is a must if you are around there too

....and if you are in Dublin it would be a shame not to visit the Guinness Factory
