Default Stamps to rise again?

Just been to post a letter to France, the lass at the Post Office reckons stamps to rise on 4th April

FFS, it's not long since they banged them up last time......

And STILL they reckon inflation is low

Thats the thing about the post service and any competitors , the market MUST be shrinking , so theyve sort of got to do something

I mean i used to, till last year pay my work bills by cheque , and thats about it untill xmas cards are sent , everything else online

Default Old news. Discounts here....

Prices of first class stamps then go up everywhere on 4 April (to 46p) and second class (up 4p to 36p). You can buy up to a huge 72 stamps per day at Superdrug. This is the third time Superdrug's had a 5% discount promotion since the price of First Class stamps went up last year by 2p.

The Details
Starts: Wednesday 16 March 2011
Ends: Sunday 3 April 2011
Stamps included: First Class
Which types? Books of four large, or six and 12 standard first class stamps
Where? Superdrug stores in UK and Eire (not online)

How to do it

It couldn't be simpler. Just trot along to your nearest Superdrug, ask for your stamps and pay. That's it!

If the market is shrinking you put prices UP? Surely you should be offering deals?

People send emails now. They have t.watter, and facebook.

Letters are so yesterday. The Royal Mail still need to pay for staff, vehicles, fuel etc. So when their income decreases they have to raise prices. Dropping prices won't get people writing letter again.

Write an email, get a quick reply.
Write a letter, wait ages for a reply.

Sending letters is so 1950 , I've probably had to send 2 letters last year hardly bank busting.

if you are bothered about a few pence, get a load of stamps in now (that have 1st class written on) and they are good for whenever

Putting the price up would seem to me to be a big mistake!
