The Beer Thief !
Well, another incidence of theft from me today !
This time the article (Exhibit 1) was a cold can of Stella Artois, the full fat stuff, not the few cans of the schoolgirl four percent that are lying about, now I know how many I had left, I bought an 8 pack, I drank 3 of them last night, went to put a couple more in to chill and there were three left in the box and 1 in the fridge, strange as I am sure I had only had three, I retraced my drinking and could still only account for three, two before tea and one during, none after.
I checked the area for cans I had perhaps put down but I definitely remember four in the box, I then came up with a suspect, eldest was at that moment being ferried to his mates in Knutsford for a sleepover so I rang him and under intense questioning he cracked,
Little sod had nicked a beer, now I don't begrudge the lad a beer, he is sixteen soon and I accept he will want to try a drink, one can of Lager isn't the end of the world but he now knows you don't nick dads Stella, it cant have been more than fifteen minutes before its disappearance and me discovering it being missing, he now must think I have Father Jack like powers.
So, gave him a roasting on the phone and said I don't mind him having a drink but pinching mine is never an option and that Stella is not really a suitable thing to start on, if he wants some he can buy his own and I will get them or I will let him have a drink at home under supervision, he will not be wandering the streets drinking Cider, ok, one can tonight isn't a big deal but I told him to return it to his mum as I am not rewarding him for taking it without asking.
Did I handle that the right way ?

I don't get it! Your thread title says "beer thief" then you go on to talk about some **** lager called Stella Artois!!!
