Lol at ant

I like anything shooting related but airsoft I really just dont see the point. I used to own a few inc gas powered ones as a teenager and even remember having shootouts in Uni halls of residence

Thats one thing but grown men running around outside shooting each other with tiny little plastic pellets in a very trimmed down version of paintball just seems pointless. I mean how do you even confirm a hit? Its not like paintball where its obvious and hurts.

I'll stick with my shotgun dusting clays

In my teens I used to work at a paintball place and when the airsoft guys used to hire the place , they was just like the picture.

The stuff they wore was hilarious

Not wishing to start a war here, but can someone explain the concept behind this?

I've done paintball and enjoyed it, but apart from the weapons being more realisitic, I don't see the reasons for airsoft. How do kills get recorded etc, which is obvious with paint markers etc.

I know I'm slightly jaded becuase I used to run round fields with real firearms, so see little point to airsoft, so hoping someone can explain it.

300 rounds a minute, 350fps and using places like abandoned hospitals and factories, over night for events actually looks like a good laugh.

I always find paintball guns to be utter ****e and not accurate at all.
At least with an FA-Mas I stand a chance!

Nail on the head, dont knock it till youve tried it, plus there nearly all run by x miltry,
Paint ball is just running about shooting. Airsoft is more tactical.

Are we talking paintball with your mates or proper paintball? If it's the former you're wrong paintball is very tactical and if you use a proper paintball gun they can be very accurate and get through a few bullets themselves.

Both are ****e to be honest

I've just registered myself with UKARA after playing 3 games of airsoft at a local site and am well and truly addicted.

Love the tactical side of things. Got my own RIF a few days ago.

I used to play paintball a few times a year and some of the kit people would turn up in, you'd think they were off to Iraq. Full army fatigues and camo, Bowie knives and paint greandes the lot. They nearly cried when they were not allowed to take their knives and grenades on the field.

How does he like it? I'm surprised by how heavy it is!

My gun now weighs quite a bit. Hopefully not too much but I'll find out Sunday!
