Yes, had a response within hours and several follow-up emails to check I was okay.
I really appreciated the help and was sad when they were voted out last year.

Kind of.
I emailed the Burton MP about an article he was quoted on and got a reply back from his assistant within 30 mins.
The MP couldn't respond directly as I was not a constituent but I got the information I needed from the assistant (V helpful) and my message was passed on.

Four days now, nothing.
My email was to ask him to support the FairFuel campaign. No hope of that I know but if we all did nothing them nothing would ever get done.
Anyway the least I expected was an acknowledgement.
So, in the time honoured tradition, tonight I've resorted to sarcasm.
Michael,
Please accept my apologies. You're the Education Secretary, and this week is half term. Michael, you're on holiday! And there's me, with two girls ages 11 and 7. I should know better. And Michael, I do know next Monday is an inset day as well, so I wont expect anything until Tuesday. I hope you think that's fair Michael? I do.
Anyway, enjoy your holiday, I hope you went somewhere nice? Probably not a driving holiday though, not with the price of petrol these days.
Regards,
I can't stand the pencil necked ****er anyway.

Not had a need, yet, to correspond with the current one, but I wrote to (and received replies from) his predecessor on several occasions over the years

Yep several times and usually got a reply. Also mailed Tory HQ and correspondence with Clare Short about Iraq when she was still a Minister.

Yes both borough and county council in fact I have met them in person a few times too and have their mobile numbers and personal emails so I suppose they cannot get away from me....hehe. I did even manage to get some work done outside the house to the pavement as it had a little problem after a mains pipe burst, it did get done after 2 emails and some piccies. (the piccies were not of KOT's ***** just for the record)

Slightly off topic..........
I emailed our local council at 8-ish the night before last, to report a couple of really nasty potholes near us, which have been there a while. When I came home last night, they'd been filled!!
I was well chuffed!

Yes I have emailed him and received a promt reply (though I couldn't tell if it was him or a researcher/secretary).
I saw a scamera van going round the M25 through the variable limit section when it was showing 60mph. I was sticking to the limit, but the van went past way above what I was doing.
I wrote that they (a fully stickered up scamera van) should stick to or below the limit and anything else is just hypocrisy and does nothing to persuade the general public to like them.
The reply was that around that section the signs are not backed by camera's and they are therefore only "advisories" to the speed limit. However he did promise to bring it up at the next local scamera partnership meeting.
