As per the title...
Any idea where I could get a cigarette lighter socket adapter so I can run a radar detector and a GPS unit from this power source?
- I don't want to hard wire either device to the vehicle.
- I don't want to butcher either cable/plug by wiring both cables into one plug.
Can anyone advise on this, and are there any particular problems I might encounter such as interference or socket over heating?

Very kind of you John, and I may well take you up on that...
Not 100% sure that I'll make Kames though.
Definately want to come, but my front discs are desperately needing replacement.
I'm in the process of sorting out an upgrade (as opposed to just replacing the discs) so it'll depend on whether or not I can get the brake upgrade done before Kames.
Might come anyway to spectate, but I rather be on the track...
Failing that - are these adapters readily available from car accessory shops? (None of my suppliers do them, and it's not really our thing anyway.)

If you go to maplins, Tandy or the big electrical distributers they sell a 4 way converter for the lighter socket I use it for my Psion, gps, light and Radar unit they also sell the adaptor for the lighter socket for you to wire into too.
