It's not just Egypt though, there is risk of unrest spreading to Saudi, that is what the market is pricing in.

Personally I don't think the House of Saud has too long left in charge of Saudi, but their wealth will buy time.

I lived through the quadruple price hike in 1973 ....... most here have no idea.

Just imagine £5:20 a Litre overnight? AND fuel shortages?

It seriously could happen!

If the Suez gets closed off that'll be a 4500 mile trip there and back for the oil tankers.

What we pay now will be considered an absolute bargain!

Better top up the jag then (100litres)
And fill up the twin tanks on the Landy (48litres x 2 )

......And use them for fuel storage, add my two jerry cans and that should tie me over for three months or so, by then I'll have a few tanks worth of ethanol distilled

Pete, why don't you just post a link to the bbc news/business site?
You are only repeating the boll&cks on there anyway!

Did you know that ethanol attacks plastic based compounds and if your fuel tank relies on Petseal inside the tank to stop the leaks you could eventually have a nasty shock. It also attacks some forms of fuel piping.
