what I don't get is that at some point, he must have become immobile, yet somehow his calorie intake must have remained the same. This can only mean that someone must have been bringing him food!
I've just read that he's relying on DSS carers, WTF are they doing?! it's not like he can go get it himself if they refuse to bring him another plate of chips is it? What's wrong with saying no and bringing him lettuce?
If he wants junk food, then give him salads until he can get out of bed and get it himself!

I think it has something to do with shocking his body by cutting too many calories. However I think I'd have more sympathy for him, as would most people if his diet was even slightly better.........
Donner, Chips, Chinese etc etc............

I've come up with a plan to remove this deficit thing we have...stop paying for fat knackers... and for people to stop smoking. Eat and smoke all you like...and pay tax and die, everyone is a winner!

What really boiled my p*ss was the amount we were paying to look after this fat ****.
By all means, spend as much tax payers money as necessary on someone who has had the misfortune to have an accident or become ill, but why the chuff are we spending so much to look after someone who has self-inflicted his condition?
In 2 minutes of watching, I saw, a house and all the associated bills, a winch, a special bed, a specially built wheelchair, a carer, several staff and specialist vehicles to move him. Specialist hospital equipment / staff / procedures.....He's been house bound for over ten years, so unless he's a lottery winner, I can't see him EARNING anything to pay for all this.
I'd have let the ****** starve when he first stopped walking, he'd have soon been off his fat backside to go get his next burger!

I saw a bit of it whilst flicking channels and he was blaming the authorities for not helping him when he started getting out of control. So basically it is not his fault he was like that.

I didn't watch it myself
But I saw another one - this guy was also supposed to be Britain's fattest man, but he was nowhere near the size of that fat man.
This guy was Barry or something like that?
He went to his local Indian and ate the entire menu followed by some ridiculous amount of pints of beer.

Basically the body is a machine, it runs on fuel and can store some of the fuel when more is put in than is expended, like an almost infinitely expandable fuel tank, there is as far as I am aware no disorder that produces fat (energy) from simply breathing air, if that process was available it would be like perpetual motion or some glitch in the rules of physics. I know there are disorders where you dont feel full and some people eat for comfort but that is different.
Matey boy is fat because he ate too much and did too little, simple and I agree that he should not be fed high calorie food when incapacitated, basically he would lose weight if fed low calorie food to a point where he could get his carcass down the chippy.
I fluctuate and have to watch my weight but I hit a level I dont go beyond as it gets uncomfortable (clothes feel tight) and I actually dont want any more food, but any weight over is my fault, not anyone elses, not Inbrew for making Stella or Theo at the local Kebab shop for making excellent kebabs, mine !
Its sad to see someone like that, all the support they need, they arent happy and could die any second, usually the documentaries are in their memory and to be honest I think I would rather die than live like that, on oxygen, unable to move, trapped in my own lard, no quality of life at all and even if they lose the fat they end up like a deflated barrage baloon requiring loads of painful operations.

I'm watching it now.
It wasn't until 27 minutes in and only when he got in hospital that he was put onto a 500 calorie a day milk based diet, with sugar free jellies.
At short while ago, her carer was shown cooking his food and saying "I give him whatever he likes"
At best she's incompetent. Complicit at worst.

I watched a little bit of last nights one near the end but Ive seen the US versions before. When they list what they eat per day 12 pork chops, 10 eggs, 2 pounds of chips, 3 litres of coke and thats just for dinner. How the **** do they pay for it or more accurately how do authorities keep coughing up for it if said person is not earning a bean?

The fat person is helpless, dependent etc, like a baby.
There is some seriously dysfunctional/pathological dynamics going on.

On a similar theme, this sad excuse for a human being is deliberately trying to become the fattest woman in the world (well on her way to it too, judging by the pictures ):
