At least one rod came through the side of the block there

Sounded like something went wrong with the fueling to me, there aren't many engines that will rev like that without grenading

I think it was the supercharger going..

if you look at the rear cam, just before it goes pop, somthing appears to be

leaking out near where the flames are at the front

That's a rod making an escape bid.... and succeeding.

Oil pressure light on at 1.07 and the guy keeps his foot in.

That's not an oil pressure light, it a NASCAR style rev counter+shift light - which can be set to come on at whatever RPM the owner sets it at.

Agreed that is a possibility, but it's an aftermarket add-on that can be used for various indicating purposes.
I had two identical lights on my super gas race car. It just depends what trigger you connect to as to which function is monitored.
Either way what kind of muppet keeps his foot in with a warning light on?

He's looking at the computer screen outside of the car.

And you don't think you would spot that light right in your face?
As you wish, I'm glad we have better mappers/RR technicians in this country.
