"The Dying Light" by Henry Porter.

A political thriller set in Britain in the very near future, it makes use of laws and systems that are already present, brought in by the last lot, and makes VERY unsettling reading.

Although it's fiction, I highly recommend it to anyone who opposes the totalitarian approach of Lying Labour, and also to those who believe, "If you have done no wrong, you have nothing to fear".

Read it and see what you think...............

Yep, good writer. Whilst I don't always agree with his broadsheet pieces, he certainly knows how to carry a point. On the issue of an overbearing state, I'm just glad we have a number of Libertarians in positions of influence for the next five years or so. Might help stem the tide although our 'enemy within' will, irritatingly, hinder the agenda.

Will order the book and dig out the thread a month or so hence.

I just looked at"The Dying Light" on Amazon. Why can I buy the paperback for £4.20, but the Kindle edition is £11.99? I was thinking of getting a Kindle for Xmas, but I think I'll do a bit of research on pricing before I commit.

Well I just finished reading this - after reading a couple of other books I had.

Amazing book, unimaginable what this guy went through and what the british army and government did to the far east POW's after everything they went through
