Question Tool Chests ..

Any recommendations?

Been looking at the Halfords Professional Range:-

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...1&iozone=PDPz1

Any other choices? ... just for home use, but not as cheap as Halfords 'cheaper' range - they really are not nice to use.

I have some of their tools too and they are of the highest quality .... which is why I was thinking about them.

The Black ones are the Industrial Range - I like the professional range better myself.

£250 will get me what I think I need, just wondered what you all had.

I bought a 9 drawer Halfords Pro chest not long after they were introduced, and have been well impressed with it

The drawer runners are still as smooth as ever, despite some of them being a touch overloaded, and covered in crap and grider debris

The main reason mechanics swear by them is not because they are better than everything else (they aren't), but because they can buy them on the drip

When I was ststioned in Germany we used to call the attached English children's teachers "Tool Screechers"

We always liked comparing the quality of their chests too!

Halfords pro range is very good and has a life time warranty with it, keep an eye on the website though as they regularly offer big money (25 or 33%) off the whole range

You are correct, Snap-On will replace broken tools FOC, but so too will any of the better suppliers, including Halfords (for the pro range anyway)
