Question

Does anybody know why most competitions you hear about always state: 'no purchase necessary'??

Wink

its illegal to run a competition where you must buy say a Mars bar to compete as its effectively an unlicenced lottery. All these competitions allow you to write to Coke or Mars or whoever on a postcard and ask them to open a wrapper or can for you. I'm not sure how much its policed on what they do for you but that I believe is the reason behind it.

Regards
Cammy

LOL, I wonder who has the job of answering postcards and unwrapping the wrappers.

Thanks for clearing that up anyways.

I always like the ones that say "Details inside!" or something and then has "No purchase necessary". Surely that's encouraging shop-lifting??
