Default Don't forget ...... F1 in HD now :-)

As BBC are now transmitting the BBC1 channel in HD (SKY 143), F1 should be in HD

Granted, with only 2 races to go

But should be pretty nice to watch

Qually starts at 3pm.

Be interesting to see if theres any difference in quality.

Don't think F1 will be in proper HD much before 2012. Bernie says theres not enough interest - although I think theres been some testing of HD this year.

I'm watching on my projector and the SD picture upscaled by an AV receiver is just as good as the BBC1 HD picture.

I only noticed a slight difference.
Bernie pretty much confirmed HD for F1 next year.

I saw the last 15 mins this afternoon but the Mrs hasn't got use to BBC1 HD yet so will have to wait until later. Don't excpect a big difference though.

So do you reckon Webber taking Alonso out at the first corner after he ***** up his start as usual tomorrow will be substantially better in HD??? Vettel 1, Hamilton 2 and Webber and Alonso in the wall would be a perfect setting for the last race. Winner takes it all.

I compared it with the BBC 1 SD picture and it was better. Not full HD quality but certainly better. I gather next year will be full HD.

Can't say fairer than that I suppose!

I enjoyed the MotoGP too.

Why does Rossi take his foot off the peg as he approaches a corner. He has got someone else doing that now!

He does it to transfer his body weight. Quite a few have started doing it. Some also do it to make it a bit harder for someone else to pass too

It certainly looked better than the Grand Prix. A definite difference between the upscaled and real HD.

They said yesterday, it forces their asses into the seat and gives them more traction on the rear wheel when braking into the corners. Basically weight transfer.

Valencia MotoGP was in HD.

Brazilian Grand Prix was only upscaled.

I was commenting on how much better the MotoGP looked, being in full HD.

Thanks for the answer on Rossi and his leg. Always looked like an awkward thing to do but obviously worthwhile then.
