Default Question Time

Shami Chakrabarti normally makes my toes curl but, I thought last night that she showed signs of edging towards the centre. Clever girl. Feisty and makes some sensible points.

I thought that she was drunk and was a bit "tarty" tonight. She spoke a lot of sense but a bit rushed - however sitting next to that LibDem moron can't have helped.

I think she is playing a clever game to hide the fact that she is a lefty loon because she knows she will get nowhere if people knew her true opinions

That entered my mind, too; a Trojan horse. Then I thought how time has taken me from the left to the centre to right of centre over the last 10 years or so and how people often follow a similar shift. The gentleman sat to Ms Chakrabati's physical left, Mr Straw, is a prime example. My intinct is that the lady's so principled that she'd be unable to deliver such convincing untruths. Then again, she is a lawyer.

Shami's OK

I certainly don't agree with her on many occasions but the public needs someone like her to try and stop the Govt of the day walking all over us.

And I agree she has mellowed a bit. Don't we all (Jack Straw for example, almost sensible now)?

I find the most irritating bit is when Bumblebum keeps interrupting a speaker when he is doing his best to answer a question. It is as though he is trying to show how clever he is under the guise of controlling those who have a point to make.
