Taken from Pistonheads website.......

TAILGATING TIPS Monday 8th April

What do you do when tailgated? According to a survey by Autonational rescue 37% of British motorists play safe and simply pull over to let the tailgater pass, but nearly as many - 34% - brake gently "to encourage the following vehicle to back off".

Meanwhile 15% of women and 11% of men, take more direct action and generally slow down with the intention of annoying the tailgater as much as possible.

Six per cent of drivers just ignore the tailgater driving too closely to their own rear bumper and try to carry on as normal, while three per cent become aggressive and slam their brakes on to force the vehicle back and a further three per cent accelerate away to try to lose the tailgater.

The two top tips we have are:

If you're a numpty who doesn't understand lane discipline then just get out of the damn way. Better still, surrender your driving licence.
If you're not a numpty and you've got a bolt on boy up your chuff then clean your windscreen. The resulting spray will land on the car behind and they drop back without fail...

Open the sunroof and get your passenger to stand up out of it and point a machine gun a the offending tailgater shouting something along the lines of 'Back off a$$hole'

Michelle back in the hutch now! Prepare for retribution young lady!

I'm sorry we try to keep her restrained but sometimes she slips out without her noticing!

You are not helping your case Michelle...

Anyway like NoAngel you have the attention span of a Fruit Fly. Not at all surprised you can do things and not realise you where doing them!
