Oh dear...I would hate to be the captain of that vessel. He will forever be remembered as the one who crashed it
At least everyone is OK. Does not say much for our vessels though. Its a pretty basic requirement to be able to manoeuvre your sub.

Tis a bit embarrassing. Apparently waiting for high tide lol.
Not funny really, but with the spotlight on the defence budget, this was the worst possible time to stuff an expensive piece of kit into the rocks.

Would be one hell of a scary moment for the crew...its not as if you can just jump over the side when you are in one of those things

Engineering: Well, normally 30 seconds, but its installing downloaded updates, currently its at 3 of 8, one of which is service pack 2

According to Radio 5, one of the navy's three emergency towing vessels is currently helping to pull it free.
Ironically the recent spending review calls for these vessels to be scrapped next year...the were deemed unnecessary.
