Giving my ipod to someone else
As per the title
i want to give my ipod touch to the other half,
if she syncs it with her lappy, will it wipe all Ive downloaded & paid for?
And how do i de register my card details from itunes, so i dont get hit for her spending spree's
And how do i assign all the stuff ive bought to her?

Yes it'll wipe it. You can authorise another computer with your account and then it'll sync with those applications that you have previously purchased. But then if she buys something it'll be against your account / card.
You can obviously jailbreak it and copy things manually if you don't want to worry about that kind of thing but not something my wife would want to mess around with (i.e she just wants to plug it in ...).

Dock it with your iTunes and sync it.
Then wipe it.
Dock it with your iTunes and give it a new name (her iPod or whatever) and sync whatever apps and music you want on it.
Then take it and sync it with her iTunes, it will say the account is already on another iTunes, but it should give you the option to make the account 'mate' with the iTunes it's now connected to.
At least I think that's how I did my wife's when she got it.
You can just change credit card details on iTunes. Sign in, then click on Account at the bottom of the home screen, then edit payment information.
Good luck.

If the music is in iTunes Plus format, then it's DRM free, and I think this means you can copy it over to her machine. If it's not Plus format then it's DRM encoded and tied to the iTunes account it was purchased with, ie; your account. So she would need to use your account.
Easy way to tell would be to look at the "Kind" info for the track, if it says AAC Protected then it's DRM'd, if it doesn't, then it's not.
What I've done in the past is to backup my purchased music and then use something (think it was JHymn, have a look here for possible ways to remove the fairplay encryption) to rip the DRM from the files. They are still AAC files, but lack the DRM so I can play them on whatever device I want.
