Eco-friendly packaging.
Oh, I love this one.
Kenco have taken their coffee out of glass jars, (recyclable), with card, (recyclable), and plastic, (recyclable) lids, and put it into plastic foil pouches which are NOT RECYCLABLE!!!!!!
How's THAT for green?

That's what it's all about. That's why they have 'concentrated' versions of washing liquid, etc. Less volume to transport thus less transport costs. Plus, people still, in the main, use the same quantity as before so more profits from that as well. A win-win for the producer.

im glad im not the only one that has noticed this, if you watch the advert carefully, they insinuate that it is 97% less packaging, but if you look at the packet it is actually 97% less packaging WEIGHT!!!!!!

At least the plastic is lighter and inert when buried in landfill and many likely just chuck the glass container in the bin as not many councils collect glass. We have to take ours to the bottle banks. It is frustrating that councils don't recycle more grades of plastic - it is usually only 1-3. I am about to write a stern e-mail to Unilever about Hellmans Mayonnaise squeezy plastic bottles. They are made out of grade 5 plastic, pretty much non-recyclable here in East Yorkshire, whilst Heinz manage to use grade 1 plastic for almost identical containers for their ketchup and salad cream which I can chuck in my recycling bin.
