Honestly speaking, I am presently on duty in the ship on sea working
on a vessle, I work with mearsk shipping company as a naval captain,
otherwise, i would have actually gone to the store to get the item
myself and send it off to him, unfortunately, my work will not permit
due to my engagement, so this is actually the reason why i bought the
item from you and included extra to cover the postage and packing to
Nigeria and i also paid paypal charges to make sure you receive full
funds. kindly ship the package to my son asap with the note A GIFT
FROM YOUR MUM boldly written on the body of the package.

Now he has changed

You may well get funds to send the item in your Paypal account. Just be aware that as these funds have been deposited by means of a fraud, they will be taken off you at some point in the future.

So, although I know you know that this is a scam, others are lead to believe that it is safe to ship the item once they have the cleared funds in their account....only to find in a month that the money disappears never to be seen again.
