Blackpool lights....
Are crap!
No chance I will be taking my children back there in a hurry.
Has anyone been this year? Apparently Lawrence Llywellen Bowen (that design chap with the flowery shirts) designed some.
They were also crap, but those, and Beaverbrooks were the best of them all.

One of my mates went recently and said exactly the same!
To be fair tho I'd be more surprised if people said they were amazing!... it is Blackpool after all - not going to have high expectations really.

I went 2-weeks ago and completely agree. When I was young all of the trams used to be done up and every third light wasn't a golden arch. Kids loved the tower though

The tower is having sone maintenance work done, so it couldn't really be seen properly.
I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was shocked that there were more teen mums pushing a buggy and playing in 'slots of fun', rather than randy hens all dressed up. It's not quite the Blackpool I last visited.

And yes, technically the lights are free and funded 80% by Blackpool council, only the other 20% is public donations (which I give too).
As for what did I expect?
Basically i'm just making banter. So shoot me.

I gave what was left from £30 after some lunch, ice cream, candyfloss, two cuppa t's and as many go on the kiddy rides as my two wanted.
Shocking that it was about £4.70 odd!
Not a bad day on price, and the kids loved it. I suppose if I rise above it all, it was a good. The kids loved it (god knows why) so that's all that matters.
