Default HTC Desire update recieved this weekend - Issues with 3G since

Hi All

Has anyone else recieved an update on the HTC Desire in the past week ?, since accepting it at the weekend I can no longer access the internet via the mobile, I'm on Vodaphone and have found a few issues dating back to July/August but nothing recently.

Anyone else with this issue ??

Any help appreciated

Cheers

I had a problem once or twice with 3G in certain areas, are you getting any symbol next to the signal bar or nothing?

Try pressing power button for a few seconds then turn off mobile network, wait a few seconds then press the power button again this seems to fix the problem if you are in a poor coverage area and makes it lock on.

could be worse, at least you dont have to worry about the unfixable "death grip" that some phone have problems with

Thanks for those pointed me in the right direction I think

Just read them and it could be an APN issue, Name and APN are voda prepay, everything else showing "Not Set" I'll have a look on the Voda forum and see what the settings should be.

Just took this off the Voda site and it still doesn't work, time to give them a call I think, but it may work for others as per the forum so I'll post it anyway

1.Press the MENU key
2.Touch Settings
3.Touch Wireless & networks
4.Touch Mobile networks
5.Touch Access Point Names
6.Press the MENU key
7.Touch New APN
8.Touch Name
9.Enter Vodafone Internet, touch OK
10.Touch APN
11. Enter:
For Pay monthly customers: internet
For Pay as you go customers: pp.vodafone.co.uk
12.Touch OK
13.Touch Username
14. Enter web, touch OK
15.Touch Password
16. Enter web, touch OK
17. Press the MENU key
18.Touch Save
19. Touch the circle to the right of the Vodafone Internet profile name you have just created
20. Press the Home key to return to the home screen
