i need an interview question...
Am having a telephone interview tomorrow and need some questions for them.
None of those sissy ones, I want questions like "why should i work for your company?"
Any ideas from the vast brain that is ScoobyNet?

here u go mate - interview blagging is my speciality lol
Ask something around the organisation like where do they see themselves in the marketplace within x period etc, something that shows an interest in them
Also ask about career progression - training opportunities, managerial opportunities etc - show you are all about bettering yourself.
If its a sales job, be cheeky and try to close them down - ask about the duration of the interview process, when they are hoping somebody starts
Definately don't overlook any info on their website(if they have one) - I've done it a few times and it has proved costly. Even if its just to say "i did look the website but it was very limited ...." this is a good lead to asking questions relating to the job you are applying for
Hope this helps mate
anything else needed please ask!

Ask the interviewer if they're getting time and a half for a Bank Holiday

You ask them - OK you have researched our company on the internet, tell me something about the firm that's not publicised on the web.
sorry just realised you are the pleb and not the hirer

Awesome. that's a killer question
and the company's foreign, so they don't do our public holidays. accepting the interview on my day off was, i thought, a commendable action.

If the Sales Director and Finance Director came to you with urgent problems at the same time, how will you prioritise..
Gets people thinking about the difference between urgent and important..

you turn it round and watch the interviewer fall apart, as he attempts to answer it.

well, in the end i asked "what is the company doing to achieve market growth over the next 5 years?"
he conceded that having already had 5 interviews, questions were probably thin on the ground
wait for the offer now

I had an Interview for a large manufacturer who made parts for their parent company as well as OEM companies.
I got the interviewers eating out of my hand when I asked:
What is the difference between working on a contract for your parent company or working on one for an OEM company?
After a bit of stammering they came out with well in reality OEM's would like to think there isn't one, and then a bit of waffle with a hint hint kind of tone.
After that the questions rolled of the tongue and felt like I was interviewing them. Needless to say I got the job
(Bit late now I guess! Hope went well!!!)
