Someone must do.....
"If driven normally, with a light foot, fuel consumption is not unreasonable for a big block engine. At 300 mph please expect to empty the gas tanks in under 6 minutes…which will be a few minutes after the street tires melt! (Land-speed tires are one of our many options offered that you get to choose from as part of your purchase... so you can reach “empty” at 300 mph without the tires melting)"

Cars are really pushing it at 240mph. To then expect to get a car past 300 isn't soley down to BHP.
If that was the case why not just build a 5000HP car that can do 400MPH. Total ***** IMO.

The 2000bhp engine exists: This is the 522ci version built by the same company http://www.streetfire.net/video/522-...-www_61460.htm (wait to 2mins when he gives it a little squirt )
Gotta love the fact a low tech 16valve pushrod V8 can push out as much BHP than as super hightec multivalve, multicam, VVT, multi turbo Veyron W16s But then, thats what you get when you bolt on a set of huge turbos.
Even the normally aspirated versions push out 750bhp
Conclusion; I think it needs AWD

Weight to horsepower ratio 1.5:1 (est. ) new supercar record
Acceleration 0-60 mph under 1.5 seconds (calculated )* new supercar record
1/4 mile ET 6.6 seconds @ 204 mph (calculated )* new supercar record
Top Speed 314 mph (calculated )* new supercar record
60-0 mph Braking Distance < 100 feet (est )
Fuel Consumption @ 300mph 4 gallons per minute (approx)
Time to empty @ 300 mph < 6 minutes (est)
Time between milemarkers @ 300+ mph < 12 seconds (calculated)*
0-100-0 < 10.0 seconds (est )
Slalom > 70 mph (est)
Skidpad > 1.05 g (est)
Car & Driver "Lightning Lap" at VIR < 2:45.9 (est) new record
0-60-0 < 4.0 seconds (goal)
Optional NHRA Drag Chutes (2) JEGS pneumatic launch w/dual chute removable mount, w/ safety release and locking pin/tag; pilot chute.
Optional Bonneville single chute JEGS pneumatic launch w/removable mount, safety release and locking pin/tag; pilot chute.
*Notes: All calculations based on accepted engineering formulas and 2000 hp/3000 lb input assumptions
What a load of nonsense: Anyone can claim to set "estimated" or "calculated" world records with any car. Every year some deluded Yank "develops" a car with claims like this. Even if it comes to production it will be a bag of spanners. Just think how much VW development went into the Veyron at 1001bhp? These guys are trying to make a road car that weighs the same as your scoob with twice the Veyron power output for peanuts. I reckon those claimed "orders" can kiss good-bye to their deposits.

There's no way that body would generate enough downforce to be stable at 300mph! I think it would be on it's roof long before hitting that speed. Looks like nothing more than a headline grabber.

It all looks amazing and wonderful to own!
When you think about it though, what on earth is the point in owning such a car unless you were going to use it for racing or something like that?
Where in the world would you be able to use its performance on public roads, either legally or in safety, both to yourself and to others?
Practically speaking it is a waste of money and is of any use only to the "look at me" society when they get invited to someone's house for a dinner party!

exactly my thoughts too. it just looks like a standard design with a huge engine whacked in. if it does not end up on its roof then i expect it will wrench itself in half under accelaration, Yanks, you gotta love them.

A quick google tells you its just a made up drawing and stats. Search for Trans Star.... there is not even a website.
A PR stunt i'd imagine.
Look at the front end, parts clearly poached from a Ferrari 456 Italia

This may prove an interesting read, a car that HAS achieved its figures and then some
Bugatti Veyron SuperSport hits 268mph
Bugatti has shattered the production car top speed record with a new special edition Veyron that has officially cracked 268mph.
The firm conducted the official record run on Saturday afternoon, and actually saw an all-out maximum speed of 270mph.
Two runs on the massive Volkswagen test track had to be conducted within an hour to bag the Guinness World Record, though.
This averaged out to the 268mph total.
It's an amazing, awe-inspiring figure that apparently caused even Bugatti's jaws to drop.
"We took it that we would reach an average value of 425km/h (264mph)," said chief engineer Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber.
"The conditions today were perfect and allowed even more."
Bugatti will put this variant into production later in the
year, with the 'SuperSport' Veyron 16.4 debuting at the posh Pebble Beach car show in California next month.
