Should all be over by your 22nd.....

About 1-3 days depending on severity. Longer than that see quack.

Happy Birthday btw.

Couple of days.

Last time we went to Japfest, we stayed in Witney and went to the Chinese in Woodstock the evening after the show. I was proper ill from both ends all morning and had to meet up with my dad for his 65th. I wasn't going to let him down so drove to the pub, said happy birthday and passed out on the back seat of the car.

The dilemma

I had a similar unfortunate experience

I found that it was best to puke first, **** second and flush
Then repeat sequence as much as requred.

Of course - getting the sequence wrong will most likely have rather unfortunate consequences and may then involve having to shower

You have a tummy upset.
Believe me when I say, if you REALLY have food poisoning, you will have seen a doctor. I've only had it once but had to have a doctor come to me.

The symptoms lasted a week, with the diarroeha and sickness gone after two days. The rest was like REALLY bad flu, with stomach cramps you would not believe.

Best thing to do is to try and get plenty of fluids in you which is hard when youre being sick and feeling sick but your body will be dehydrated. Also try forcing something like dry toast down to get something in you, it'll help soak up acid in your stomach too.

Hope youre better soon

Only had it once, could not manage to straighten my body out due to the cramps, curled up in the fetal (sp?) position was the only thing i could do, utterly horrible, strange how only i was affected and the rest of the family were fine.

I don't usually get sick either, and i never ever spew/puke.

I got food poisioning a few years ago, just before Christmas. Mine lasted about just over a year, on and off.

Went to Hospital for tests and everything.

Still get side effects now.

Same here. I got food poisioning 10 years ago whilst at the British Grand Prix. It was the year when the place was a mud bath on the Friday and Saturday, so I assume the chicken I had was re-heated on the Sunday before serving it to unsuspecting punters like me. Suffered like hell for two weeks before being admitted to hospital for a week. Lost a stone in weight and as stilover said, I still get reminders of it now, 10 years later. I have to be quite careful with what I eat. I had a curry a month ago and straight after, I didn't feel right. A month later and I still have the 'squirts'.

As said, if it goes in a week or so, you're a lucky chap. Go to the doctors with a sample today, just to get it checked mate. Don't leave it.

I had a bad scampi once and a bad oyster on another occasion.

The pain and sickness after that was enough to put me off either of those ever again. I still love Brixham crab and scallops though, but all that is as fresh as you can get it down here thank goodness.

couple of days, try to drink water or even get so rehydration salts for a chemist or tescos to mix with it. I was also advised to drink coca cola by an american doc when i had this in the states.

There are many forms of food poisioning but most will atke a few days to get out of your system.

My brother had a small kidney stone earlier this year. He was violently sick and in great pain. He had to have an ambulance to take him to hospital.
He was in for two days, being sick off and on.
The stone eventually moved on its own and he came home. They said he would pass it, which he has.
He tried to catch it by peeing into a tea strainer, but he never found it

I had lab confirmed campylobacter poisoning about 10 years ago. **** me it was like nothing I've ever experienced before....... I couldn't even drink a teaspoon of water without throwing up. The smell from the diarrhoea was like an acrid death smell. I ended up with allsorts of neurological events from this episode, thankfully now fully recovered but my god it was something else

Food poisoning full on, is no fookin joke.....if I could have found the bastad responsible..............

The mrs had a bad bit of scampi a few years back.

Turns out that the amount of vomiting and other loss of bodily 'fluids' rendered the contraceptive pill useless!!

I now have a 3 and a 4 year old thanks to the little chef and their ****ty scampi?

Agree with the above, stop being a shirt lifting mard **** and learn to write properly instead of that retarded text speak crap.

When you can read and write proficiently, go and eat some tinned foi-gras pate', 10 years past use by date, then come back and tell us.

ps, never eat fois-gras, 10 yrs past use by date. You'll be off work for a month
