I don't see why he has to defend it: He has the money and can spend it on what he wishes.

My thoughts exactly. It's his money and he can do what he likes with it. Why have they made the comparison to the price of the average American house? It is silly making those comparisons - there are always going to be people with huge amounts of money to spend on extravagant items.

I think the only criticism that could be made is that does a 16 year old know how to handle such a big car that can go from 0-60 in 5 seconds? But that is a whole different argument to the money involved, which seems to be the basis of Bashir's report.

As above its his money, It is a terrible lesson for a child and if you make your money from being in the public eye you must expect to answer to the public. Having said that his kids wont need to learn any lessons as their dad is richer than god..... Yet has never written a good song which is a bit curious.

The other way round would say that he has just spend some of his Millions that will never see the light of day .... thus helping the economy and putting food in peoples mouths.

He went out and made the money now hes out spending it, big deal ??

He has more money that you'd believe! 240k on a car is what he'll earn in interest in a morning.
If we were all as rich i'm sure we would all buy our kids everything they wanted.

Bit daft, pointless naff car but its a different world, its his money.

Kid will go off the rails treated like that, too much, too young, no need to aspire or try, I think most of us need motivation to get things ourselves, havign vast ammounts of money like that is like having a cheat mode on a game, gets you through it quicker but its not as satisfying and you have done everything to quickly, then what do you do ?

I always wonder how he is so loaded, I cant actually remember what he has done apart from Missing You where he crashes a sports bike on a deserted road in the video, I know he has his own clothing range and is a businessman, did he make more producing others work ?

He just seems to turn up at stuff looking like a cross between a third world despot and the Man from DelMonte, kind of what Chris Ewbank was aiming for.

Started out producing, produced notorious B.I.G's stuff i think (if not he was definitely the reason behind him) He has had a few albums, did the sound track for bad boys. He has done a coupe of films, clothing brands, aftershaves. I would guess he has his own record label but don't know that for sure. I think he is quite a clever bloke actually, he probably invests as well.

I've heard he spends $50,000 a month on clothes too.

That's nothing, have you seen My Super Sweet 16 on MTV. Some of the cars they get are worth a lot more than that.

It is his choice entirely if he wants to go that far over the top for a first car. I doubt very much that his son will respect him any more for the gift though!
