I still think UK traffic wardens are bad! The ones round here have got military style uniforms and are called "Civil Enforcement Officers" They make swoops on the various towns and always park their vehicle so that they cause an obstruction! They must be very important.

I saw someone get done for being 4 minutes late the other week, when she commented on a polish car that did not even have a ticket he said he could not ticket them because the car was not registered in this Country Never seem to see any down here in cornwall during the winter but come summer there are loads of them.

Well they can ticket a foreign car, its just that it is not likely to get paid. They have no legal rights to trace the owner as far as I am aware since the DVLA are not going to have a record of the foreign plate.

This is true, but there are rules now about when they are allowed to do that. Previously a council could ticket, clamp and tow all within 5 mins (so they did) at massive cost to the motorist.
The new rules only allow them to do that to persistent offenders, assuming they have that sort of scheme running. So yes, they could try and do something, but generally there is no money in it....
....which vilifies our opinion that most of this stuff is just run for profit rather than any other useful reason.
