A hell of a lot of concrete. What is at the bottom I guess determines how they plug it up. What was there went somewhere so I think the bigger issue is how the deal with hollow underground that their city is built on to stop further sink holes like that appearing.

mm, just got me thinking actualy, put walls round it, admin block, guard tower and bobs your uncle, cheapest prison in the world, just chuck em in, when its full you've killed many birds (prisoners and filled the whole) with one stone lol

Amazing.
The report blames a poor drainage system as a reason for the 'sinkhole' appearing - well that looks like a pretty decent drain they've got now!
Edit - I'd like to know the geology / science around why it appeared
