mouse trap bait.

what do you reccomend as bait in a mouse trap please, tried cheese, chocolate,peanut butter and bread so far to no avail

Chocolate is the winner, only the good stuff though.
Mice don't like cheap chocolate lol, nah can take a few days for it to gain
courage to try and get it

OR

get a cat for a long term investment.

Chutney! sweet sticky they love it, find a lumpy bit to stick on the post, presuming you are using little nipper traps, works for me.

My neighbour used to be a gamekeeper and he uses a nut - we have a mouse trap in our utility room with an almond in it. He swears by it but we caught the mouse by hand anyway!

Electrical flex, my fleece, pair of shoes.

Well thats what the ones in our house ate !

Strawberry Nutri Grain was the bait I used, cant abide them now, its just reminds me of Strawberry flavoured dead mouse in a trap.

Mice are stupid - I went to get something out the fridge, saw a movement on the floor out the corner of my eye, turned round and stepped back & trod on the mouse - dead!

My housemate got 2 others with a bit of cheddar and a nipper trap..

I used a few different baits up the loft space. Bits of Mars bar seemed to work the best! Caught half a dozen on it.
