Euro at a seven month low. Time to buy?
For those going to a Eurozone country (like me) would it be worth buying a few Euros now? It's dipped against all currencies. It may go lower, then again it may go back up. Which seems unlikely with Greece's problems, and now it seems Portugal may have more of a financial issue than has been known.
That's the problem with the Euro, remove the two most important ways a country can manage its finances (interest rates and currency valuation) and they are pretty much stuck. The stronger members, like Germany and France are OK but they will be dragged down by the likes of Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain. I still think it's a good thing we didnt join.
