agree with that-I'm sure its weaker than they advertise-the only side effects I've had from it is once I 'break the seal'(first use of the urinal for those that have not heard the expression) I'm back and fore all night-once on an overnight pig roast(cooking the pig that is) went through an entire case of the stuff and still couldnt get a proper beer buzz.

Love it, keep it below 20 pints and you are ok

Am in my garage, sorting my bike out for the morning as was a bit neglected, pc on MP3 duties and near the (Stella Branded) fridge enjoying its contents along to Dark Side of the Moon, to be honest, its small stolen moments like this that make life worthwhile, forget beaches in the sun, a Cheshire garage in January just above freezing with the smell of GT 85 hanging heavy in the air is the pinnacle, bike is nice and shiny, rear wheel trued, lubricated, lights on charge, its all about small pleasures, if you enjoy it then its all good !

I like having about 2/3 Stellas in the house once and a while as it gets my cheeks rosey enough to chill-ax!

From my own experience and from reading thru this thread, I think people use Stella as an excuse of acting like a complete dick whilst out drinking. I do believe if you gave someone a lesser beer and told them it was Stella within a few pints they'd be acting like a complete tosser due to the "Stella-effect"

As for hangovers, Budweiser is the worst!

I'll agree with that yea. Its all about atmosphere-just saying that becks 4% doesnt feel like any other similar strength beer I've ever drunk. Mind you the case I drank was between 2pm and 5 am and I didnt have to drive for 3 days-it just doesnt seem to get me drunk
cheers richie

Not a fan of Stella.

This is the best I've ever had!

Only available at one place on the planet though! ......and it's not local!

Hochwälder Brauhaus (¯`·-> Keine Feier ohne Hochwälder, das Brauhaus in Losheim am See

If you're ever in the Rhineland-Palatinate area of Germany (Trier is the closest City) then I highly recommend a visit!

I'd probably do 10-12 Stellas/Kroney a few years back, perhaps a couple more for an extended session.

I'm more of a distance man these days and prefer the weaker % beers, but still like a bit of bite. (hence the Becks Vier)

I'm normally up by 7 on a Saturday morning, take the dogs for an hours walk and never drive before noon, if I have to get off early on a Saturday then I won't go out, it's all or nothing for me.

I admire anybody that can go for a pint or two on the way home and call it a day.

Carling Premier, that's a blast from the past, bloody horrible stuff, flat as a witches tit and tastes just as sour.

I'll drink to that. Couldn't agree more. Love the taste, it's my fav drink and has been for years. Don't touch any of those p!ss lagers like Carling/Tennants etc. I'd rather drink my "own" export than that.

As for bitters and ales. Don't touch them and never will.

I'll miss it though. 2010 is the year of sobreity and exercise. Sober is the new drunk!

Carling Premier - Used to have a really thick creamy head on it. Used to give me bad guts and I could clear the factory shopfloor the next day!!

I shall "man up" as it were and admit to drinking Stella and quite enjoying it. Never used to drink it in the UK, but I do over here. If it's not Stella then it'll be Heineken or Rickards Red.
Fosters is evil, evil stuff and always gives me a hangover, even if it's just one pint. Very odd indeed.

I also recall Carling Premier, and do also recall it being very drinkable but rather potent.

I really like Heineken, another bonus is that the factory tour is something to do during the day in Amsterdam

I reckon all you youngsters have turned soft - Now in my day 10 pints of Fullers ESB was considered brain damage and possibly coma inducing. It is a London brew and is well supported by Youngs Special and Courage Directors. Its just not the alcohol content but also the SG of the beer which results in the hang over intensity.
