Default Safe place for ringtones?

Can anyone tell me were a safe site is to download ringtones? be them free or if i have to pay. i just dont want to end up on some site and then get ripped off goodstyle by some dodgy set up.

download a free software called Audacity 1.3 then you can edit your mp3 on your computer and make your own from any song you like. I've done the best bits for ringtones for lots of friends.

ah thats over my head i'm afraid as i'm not an iphone or ipod kind of person and would never pay for music for my phone. I have for the last few years just *cough* aquired music from the net.

This software is completely legal and you can just either take your songs from your cd's etc or download music, itunes etc although i'm not sure is probably copywrited but i couldn't tell you about this to be honest.

its ok ,i only asked as the song i wanted for my phone is on my itunes but i have found the cd and i think im sort of sorting it out now, thanks for your help aaron

I make loads for my iPhone using garage band (mac only software) I'll post how to do it when I get back from France

If you get an mp3 converter, you can convert from the aac file type that itunes music is set in, once converted to an mp3 it usually removes the restriction rights, so you can then chop that song up to make the ringtone you want. I used to do it all the time but im now more of a "ring ring" type of person
