Exclamation Audi R8 Crash

Very nasty accident. Driver lost both his legs apparently, but at least both driver and passenger are still here. Very lucky!

To be honest I find the above quote off the link very distateful and naive. I would certainly rather have my life for the sake of 2 legs Many folk can live and adapt to a disability like this and lead fruitful lives

I clicked the link expecting a few general external impact shots, quite shocked at the detailed images attached, if it was a member of my family I'd be very unimpressed with them being splattered all over some forum.

Just my two-pence worth!

There is program (on 5 I think) over the Christmas break of soldiers who have lost limbs climbing to Base Camp on Everest!!

There was a woman who lost the lower parts of her legs in the July 7th bombing and vowed that is would not ruin her wedding and she would still walk down the aisle. She did.

So it is all down to mindset.

Exactly, we all have problems (funnily enough mine documented a lot in the past ), and it's the mindset and attitude you take. Plenty of servicement have lost limbs and gone on to walk again with prothestic limbs, even raise money for charities.

The post just seemed small minded and a knee jerk reaction to something that COULD happen to anywone.

I think he means unlucky for the fact a crash barrier almost chopped him in half by coming inside the car. I'm guessing he hit it somewhere that there was a bad join, or where it was left open. If he'd been a few metres either side of where he hit, I'm guessing that wouldn't have happened.
