Mine did something similar a month ago and never came back on.....just the excuse i needed to get H.D.

Thats how the second replacement box died after 12 hours. Unless you are in your first 12 months, be prepared fir a £65 call out fee for an engineer to give you a refurbed box.

un plug the box from the mains them plug back in wait about a minute then it will switch on no worries mine does it sometimes but when i do this it sorts it out

I have had to use this one twice. It's a real pisser to lose all your recording, but nuch better than £65 to callout charge!

My Sky box used to do that over a number of years and it always recovered itself when unplugged and then reconnected to the mains. My Sky HD box has also done it twice. It takes a bit longer to reset itself when you plug it in again though.
