made an observation today
i hadnt noticed this before but alot of new cars made these days seem to have doors which have the metal body of the door come up quite high up to shoulder height say so you can only see the persons head when driving.
where as iam driving an 04 clio it has alot of glass and not so much metal work in the door so you can easily see what iam doing with my hands in the car no iam not a serial masterbater.
my point is it would be hard to tell if someone was using their mobile phone to text in say a bmw 1 series which seem to have these new style of doors. and would make it easy to use their phone to text as no one can see them what do you think.i know alot of people think that ppl who drive beemers are t*ssers anyway lol

I think it's a side impact thing... stops your phone wazzing out of the window!
