My wife is a Midwife in a large midlands Hospital, a significantly high proportion (and I mean high) of the mothers giving birth were not born in this country. The majority cant even speak English. The staff are struggling to cope and the unit has to be closed on a regular basis as they cant fit any more patients into the place , bays and corridors full. In some cases patients may be transported 60 or more miles to some where with a spare bed. The strain on resources is huge and the huge increase in births caused by mass immigration was not planned for long term. It was not anticipated and sadly according to the current Government it isnt happening? So no increase in beds or staff.

Ref the above post, I am not suggesting that care should not be availble to immigrants, or people who cannot speak English, or that immigration is a bad thing. Any human deserves proper care.
My sole point is that the increase has been rapid and certainly hospital resources, both beds and staff have not been sized to cope with this increase. Because of Political wranglings the increase is neither planned for nor admitted, consequently the funds are not made available to care for all. The care for any patient is not what it should be because of the stretched resources.

lol if the Mail really just printed complete rubbish and lies all the time, they would have been sued to death and closed many years ago.
Every paper gets things wrong, tries it on etc, but if no one is gonna put them straight then it cant be proven a lie.
Either way, there is fact within this regardless of what peoples views of the paper reporting it is.
You only have to spend time in a hospital to notice how many people are not of UK origin, how many translators are in use, and that more than 5-10% of the NHS resources are going on foriegn nationals.
No issue with people from other countries being treated, as long as its being paid for by them or the other country.
Plenty of notices up saying "you may have to pay" but would love to know how many DO!
