Naked scanners!
Manchester airport trials naked-image security scans | World news | guardian.co.uk
"As well as enabling staff to instantly spot any hidden weapons or explosives, the full-body scanner being trialled at Manchester airport will leave little to the imagination of airport security staff. It will reveal a clear outline of passengers genitalia, as well as any false limbs, breast enlargements or body piercings."
The scanners, made by the firm RapiScan Systems - apt name!

I think you also have the choice to go for the optional "**** cavity search", its all a part of "do to me what you want, because our security is at stake" program!

Nobody at the airport can see the scan and tie it to you (hello fatty!!)
IIRC the people looking at the scans are off site and they hit a big red button when they see something dodgy (oo err missus)

If you have nothing to hide, then you won't mind.

A naked scan of you being put on Youtube!
Good idea in my opinion, saves faffing around undoing belts, emptying pockets etc... Security is of paramount importance, concerns about being hung like a mouse are quickly overshadowed by those pertaining to terrorism. One could always have a fastrack aisle or two equipped with these scanners for people who don't mind and the conventional system for those who do.

And do we trust the Airports to delete this data? Or will a disk pop up on a train with 10 million naked images on?
Maybe a secret gathering of information for the government to tax people with large *****' / breasts?

All this security is starting to get on my ****. I went throught stansted the other day was quizzed on 2 separate occasions by separate parts of customs on why I had cash on me where I was going and what I was going there for and why I had x amount of cash on me. If I don't have a bomb or contraband on me what ******* business is it of theirs. I was not alot of cash btw just enough for a week away but I object to the general intrusion it seems that if you like to use cash instead of credit cards these days you get treated like a criminal.

This does seem to be taking things a bit far! Bet some images will be on youtube sooner or later, and then the airport will undertake a "full investigation" etc but it wont change anything
I think the current method works well enough. An x-ray and a bit of a patting down, and sniffer dogs and heavy handed security for anyone who looks a bit muslim
But in all seriousness the more elaborate the security, the more elaborate the evasive techniques from the bombers will be. The 'internal-bomb' idea wouldn't be picked up with this scanner, and that looks like being a big threat currently.
