You just couldn't make it up .....
... Gordon Brown honoured in New York as world statesman of the year | Politics | The Guardian
"... Gordon Brown may be trailing in the polls at home, but in the US last night he was hailed as a hero for "stabilising" the world economy and showing "compassionate leadership" ...".
Says it all really. The sooner they call the election the better.

Says he was 'honoured' in New York not by New York.
"The award was presented on behalf of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation, an interfaith organisation which campaigns for religious freedom and human rights, "
Says it all really. The mad and deluded honouring one of their own.
The 'Appeal of Conscience Foundation' Who???? LOL

Apparently the idiot left the awards ceremony early, naffing off most of the important people who'd paid $1000 to be there.
He seems determined to go down in history as the worst and most unpopular Prime Minister in history.

John Major was just bland, he was not hated anywhere near as much as GB
I still cannot believe that GB left the award ceremony that he was headlining. Apparently it was a black tie event followed by a meal, he showed up in a lounge suit and stayed for only 15 mins after the award was presented. I don't think he is going to get invited back
