Jacuzzi Bath - waste of money?

Jacuzzi Bath - waste of money?
Looking to replace our bath, it's a corner bath fitted by the previous owner and it's not long enough for a comfortable soak - can't stretch legs. Original plan was to replace with a slightly longer bath but after looking around the showrooms we're wondering if it's worth fitting a bath with a built in jacuzzi.
Anyone have any experience - does the novelty wear off or does it really help relax you and soothe stiff legs/back making it worth the hassle?

Ive never tried one to be honest ,but the ones I have seen have been too noisy for my liking .Hard to relax with the racket coming from a noisy pump .
But others may know of quieter ones .

have to agree with the noise!i fitted dynamat stuff too it but its still beyond me as how you could relax with the racket. my chick had to have one but to be honest it's been there for 4 years now and its never been used.i stick it on for the craic the odd time as the dog goes bonkers barking at it" only fun its been for me anyway"

Costwise they seem to go from £600 to £3000
Don't mind spending a bit of cash if it's worthwhile - we haven't done a proper holiday this year so we could justify it like that. But I'd be miffed if we spent some serious dosh on a jacuzzi only to never end up using it when we could've spent it on a holiday instead.

Funnily enough I'm just filling ours for the wife. She's had one of 'those' days.
We recently completed a self build and included a corner version - good sized and she's just about to get in and put some soothing music on in there and unwind. It's not too noisey and the wife and son love it. But I'm more of a shower person.

Ive got one, a double size jacuzzi thing so me and the mrs can share it. Used it about 5 times in the begining, but took a ton of water to fill it. So much that I then had to upgrade the hot water cylinder to be able to supply it.
You have to run it regulary or the jets become mukcy. Also, these baths are all lovely and romantic, but now I have children, a real pain, as it takes a ton of water to fill it for a normal bath.
I would probably get a normal bath, save you money and buy a propery jacuzzi for the outside etc etc.

My only advise is if you do get one, clean it propery and use it regularly.
"hmm, havent used the jacuzzi thing for a while...." switched it on, and clouds of brown ick streamed out the jets! I jumped out so fast, most of the water ended up on the floor.

I had one in my old flat - was very noisy, so much so that I used it about 10 times in 18 months.
Save your money and fit a regular bath and spend £250 on a Bestway inflatable jacuzzi instead (lay-z-spa) these are great and can fit four (you + 3 birds) - now that makes sense.

ive had one for years and used it twice till I realised the compressor wasnt working, sealed unit so it got skipped
The bath does stink if the jacuzzi part is turned on, and I am more of a shower man, after the kitchen is done the bathroom is next on the list, and not sure whether to have a jacuzzi bath or not this time (it was already in when I bought the house)
We had one in the hotel in NYC and used it every day it was that good
