Default Possible Bomb scare at Gatwick.

Don't quote me on this, but I have heard from a reliable source that a man has called the Police saying that there are two bombs at Gatwick airport?? Has anyone heard anything? I can't find anything on the news websites and I am due to fly out of there to Denmark tonight with work.

I did know what thread you were referring to. The fact you have had to direct me to it shows how incredibly funny you think you are. Seems to me that you have the problem, not Pete95. I really do fail to see how you can find all of this amusing, unless you mean this ofcourse!

No, what I find amusing is the speed at which people will blame Muslims for anything. Petem95 yesterday blamed a non existent bomb on Muslims before there was even any confirmed device found.

My position on that thread is obvious to anyone who can read reasonably well so if I have a problem in your eyes ..... anyway enjoy your trip!

Will be a hoax, don't think the current 'bombers' we have a problem with give warnings that they have planted bombs.

On the plus side if they have closed the airport and you can't get in later, feel free to pop round mine for a cup of tea, i only live a mile or 2 from Gatwick

I would have thought the 9/9/9 thing would have the extremists & secret services working overtime

So yeah Gatwick bomb scare is perfectly plausible

Not wishing to brag, but I make both to a decent standard. That includes cafetiere, espresso or even instant coffee. My nearest airport is Leeds Bradford.............

Being defensive is not the way to go. You may be weary of being labelled an axe wielding, mass murdering extremist but don't feel backed in to a corner. I'm not trying to teach you how to suck eggs but people will be far more receptive to what you have to say, if you present it in a calm, balanced manner. There are plenty of good burghers of Scoobyville who will listen to what you say.

Thanks, but really I don't have any issues with how I post on here. It's an Internet forum and when did anything ever written on an Internet forum truly matter in the grand scheme of things? If people want to label me a paki lover as happened yesterday or an extremist then more power to them.

I come here for a bit of banter, to find out more about my Scoob and to enjoy watching certain people go off on one when you either disagree with them or they are incapable of reading the Queen's English This little spat was supposed to be a bit of fun after a silly post by petem95 but the OP decided to have a bit of moody over it. Up to him but a bit daft really.

So thanks, but no worries.

Really? I thought the op was just asking if anyone had heard anything regarding bomb threats at gatwick? You were trolling to get a rise out of either me or Pete95.

I heard the pakis did it... everyone is on a knife edge at the moment with all this muslim bashing going on.

My personal opinion, most of these scares tend to be publicity stunts - always ask this question when faced with moral dilemmas such as this one:

who benefits the most from this?

That will open up the path to enlightenment

Apparently, the guy who made the threat was caught on cctv at our local train station. Don't if they have caught him yet, but what a pointless thing to do.

So no F1Fan, there was no bomb, I didn't get blown up and I had a great trip.
