Default Lost mobile signal at home address...

We have lost all t mobile signal where we live, mrs chop and I are both on t mobile and for the last 2 weeks even though we live nearly in a town centre we have lost all signal. I phoned t mobile last week who said there is a mask down and they are in the process of fixing but it is still not working.

Is there anything I can say/do to t mobile. i.e. can I cancel the contracts as they have changed the terms of service? Its a real pain not having any signal in case of emergency etc.

Cheers,

Chop

Doesn't really help if people are phoning his mobile number. Any free minutes and texts will be going to waste too. Then there is paying for a non-existent service.

Having a landline doesn't really address any of these issues does it?

Seems to me they are failing to meet their obligation to supply a service time you will have lost so you should be able to either get refunds for the amount of contract time you lost or cancel your contract if you wish. That is the line I would be taking with them.

They'll prob discount you for the time you have lost.

They have "Reasonable" (usually about a month) time to fix the problem before you can void the contract for failure of service.

Oh wait, but then people don't read them and get the wrong end of the stick anyway ...

Sod it, it's all Gordon Browns fault .....

To be honest dave your reply was the pedantic one

I dont want to give my home number to some people or companies I work with, if there was an emergency with my business the staff have my mobile but not home number. If I give it them now they will ring for minor issues in the future when I pay them to come up with their own solutions to problems. Obviously family/friends have the home number but they are not the only people who made need to contact me.

a colleague at work managed to get a refund on his rental etc when the same happened to him.

but what I want to know is why hasn’t mobile phone coverage improved in the last 10 years – where I live in Cambridgeshire its is shocking.

You can redirect your mobile to your home phone? I'm not sure if that comes out of your 'free' minutes or whether you have to pay as if you were calling home.

My guess would be because the networks all paid stupid money for the new licences and now have much less for investment in network infrastructure.

Take a look at the Bold Onyx.
