Thats the one mate, does atake a while to heal. I would suggest one of those wrist sock support things (I forget their proper name).
My RSI (I think unrelated) is just below that right around the wrist joint, and on the palm of my hand.
What did you do? Was it a gradual thing that came on or did you **** it on something? I hope it's the latter...

I tore the one in my left ankle when I was about 15 playing badminton. I went over on it and my foot went in towards my other leg. Heard two loud cracks and that was that. Lol
I actually thought I'd broken something because I couldn't put any weight on it at all without feeling serious pain. They say torn ligaments can sometimes be more painfull that a break?
It was only about a week before I could walk on it again, so not long, but even a year later it was a bit sore on cold days if I put weight on it a certain way.
But aye, you'll probs be able to **** again in no time! A week or so I'd say...they heal pretty quickly, but never go back to being as strong as they were, as they've been building up strength since you were born.

Seems the ankle ligaments are usually the more common ones to go.
Remember at about 12 playing hockey on concrete in P.E. and I went to turn and caught my foot in another players stick. The pain was unreal and my foot just dangled there. Couldn't walk and instantly thought I'd broken me ankle!
Ended up being a snapped ligament and a long road to recovery. Didn't walk without crutches for about 2-3 weeks and then hobbled around school for 2-3 months afterwards.
Neil, did the doc suggest anything to help the inflammation?
I use a cooling gel on my wrist to help with my issues (makes your **** go numb though )

I never sued them because that's not really my style and they convinced me I would be well looked after

I done mine in at work, instead of steps into the canteen, they piled up a load of broken breeze blocks as steps. When I got back from A&E those broken blocks had magically transformed themselves into steps complete with hand rails.
