Recommend Me A Restaurant In London
Morning all,
I'm looking for personal recommendations on restaurants in London. Somewhere that I can take my parents to as a thank you evening. More difficult one of my parents doesn't like travelling in trains/underground so do any of these places have car parking?
All cuisine considered, but the place has to be good as dad is a chef by trade
Where have you all been? Good and bad please.

When is it for?
A lot of the best will be booked up, but all depends on taste for food.
LondonTown.com | The Number One Internet Site for London England - London hotel and event review Used to be some good listings there. Or check Timeout for some good reviews too.
Kebab Kid for me ! lol
Oh I meant to say, Soho is a good place to find parking within range of dining.
Not the nicest smelling car parks mind you, but usually find space, Whitcombe St, Cambridge Circus.

The type of food is completely open on this one. I'm sure there's some wacky stuff out there. As this is a big thank you the price is open (I may live to regret it), even the Dorchester would have a chance.

Thanks for the link. I'll have a good hunt around on there. I'm likely to find the car again if I leave it in Soho?

Visit this site, I have recently discovered it.
It isacollection of the best restaurants, pubs, and takeaways listed throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
It is quite appealing and a good source of information for all the food lovers like me. There is an extensive list of restaurants and takeaways for which it lets you search by restaurant type of county. You can even place your order online. It's is really cool site and is well worth checking out.
It has reviews, menus, pictures, driving directions and online ordering.
The website is

If you want to impress them, take them to Rules.
Welcome to Rules Restaurant
Oldest restaurant in london, specialising in traditional british food and most of it grown organically on an estate up north.
Took the Fiancee there last year, it was very good indeed. Uniformed Doorman opens the door for you when you enter and you're treated like royalty until the moment you leave.
Good for spotting famous people too, we saw shirley bassey and Patrick Stewart when we were there!
astraboy.

lol yeah you will get your car back mate. Check it for needles and condoms though lol.
Depending on the time of night, you can park for free on the streets around St James, and Mayfair.
Sadly thats as much help as I can be as fine dining is not my thing. TGI Fridays is exotic for my kind lol

Sketch - there is on street parking
Bombay Brasserie - same, the service is exquisite and the Chilean Sea Bass is to die for
Les Portes Des Indes - on street parking, fabulous experience - food is excellent, service can be a bit up and down
Satay House - cheap and cheerful Malaysian but the food is fabulous
Rhodes W1 at the Cumbeland - I love his style - there is an NCP very close by
La Gavroche - top end, superb
Fat Duck - it is in Bray, but if you driving that is OK, on street parking and one of the most challenging and brilliant menus in the UK if not the world. Really very special and the signature Smoked Bacon and Egg ice cream is gorgeous!!! I wanted seconds.
