Thumbs up Been playing with one of these - for you muso/techy geeks!

Let me introduce the Tenorion (the box on the right!!! )

Once you get your head around how it works (all of 5 mins!) it's pretty interesting.

A few limitations on it, and I'm glad I didn't buy it personally (@£800-odd ), as there's some glaring omissions.
But fun nevertheless.

I put this together in about 10 mins....

Cool

YouTube - little boots READY FOR THE FUN!!! hot chip tenorion cover

hmmm... thought long and hard about buying one.

Decided that it was too expensive and had a poor quality sound lib

Shame really - if it was a) better value, or b) had better means of interfacing to other things with better sounds I would go for one.

I love the overall concept though!

I think I'm going to go for one of these:

so I can have full control over this:

I thought the thing on the left was a laptop !

lol I used to think I wanted stuff like this, then I realised I lack patience, talent, imagination and creativity, so signed up to a **** channel with the money instead.

yeh - meant RIGHT!!! (for some reason I knew it was wrong when I was typing it!!LOL!!)

UB - that Akai is a FANTASTIC bit of kit Works very well with Ableton.

Totally agree with your comments on the Tenorion. I would be quite unhappy if I'd bought it myself. The sounds are VERY Yamaha signiture, althogh the MIDI does transmit over 16 channels to my software plugs in Logic. I can see it being quite cool with Mainstage for performing in a live environment.

Just set a click track to a drummer

Going to play some more with it and see what I can get out of it.
Also got a Korg Kaoss Pad 3 sat in the box here Will have to play with that later!
