BBC NEWS | Politics | Home secretary 'set to step down'
Couldn't have happened to a .. ummmm... ahhhh..... person ...
And we also see that more of the *mighty* have fallen ...
"... Meanwhile Bury North Labour MP David Chaytor, who is accused of claiming for a mortgage that was already paid off, has announced that he will not stand at the next election.
Also on Tuesday, former Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt said she would stand down as an MP at the next election, but said it had nothing to do with the expenses furore.
Shortly afterwards children's minister Beverley Hughes became the latest to announce she would stand down, in her case due to "family circumstances" ..."
Won't miss that pretentiuous c*w Hewitt I must admit.
When will Flash be going? He's had his Presbyterian hands in the till as well. Shenanigans with properties and transferring them to the wifes name etc .....

Don't see why they are allowed to remain in the job earning another year's worth of salary and expenses, and leaving with large sums of money for resettlement and for winding up their offices etc as well as a gash handout for nothing and a fat pension all at our cost of course!

This is all very well, but are the other parties any more palatable? If Cameron jumps any further on the bandwagon he will fall off the other side.
They are all pathetic and as bad as each other.
I know you will all say give Cameron a chance, but why? I used to say the same thing about Blair in 1997 as could it have been any worse than the Tories ... um yes!!! Well as bad anyway.
Until we as a country get a party with the country's interests at heart rather than that of their own pockets we are doomed to 'same ****, different coloured rosette' politics for ever more.

All this apologising and paying back of expenses is simply because they have all got caught with their snouts in the trough, not because they have suddenly decided to see the error of their ways and do the right thing.
They are however no different to the way most company employees behave if they can get away with it, the difference is they create the rules they live by however morally bankrupt they may be.
Sickening really!

I would first like to thank the Daily Telegraph for having the ***** to stick their neck out and start this MASSIVE ball rolling.
Its truly wonderful to see the public voice be heard and MP's be held to account and **** off over all this.
Now to get some law and order in the place.

I have been seriously considering UKIP.
I hate propping up Europe. Cornwall gets a lot of EU funding because it's skint but we don't see any of it because we have got off our butts and done something! So that's not really a problem.

Because that is the system they have created for themselves.
