The Fees Office
With all this MP's expenses corruption and fraud ... the MP's keep saying that the Fees Office OK'd the frauds.
Why have we not had the Fees Office staff and boss sacked? Why has nothing been done about them?

I suspect that the Fees Office has been told to apply the rules. The problem is with the self-regulating people who set the rules. However, I'm sure it's easier for MPs to blame those who have to enforce their generous allowances that actually take responsibility for their own actions.
Don't forget, the MPs have to make the claim before the Fees Office get the chance to throw it back at them....

It seems to have started when someone - ???? - agreed that since MPs weren't going to get the salaries they deserved that they would turn a blind eye to some expenses claims by way of compensation. No one has the right to decide that public funds should be misappropriated in this way.
THIS WAS COMPLETELY WRONG AND CORRUPT.
The fees office have no "right" to approve dodgy claims and should be sent to prison and made to pay back the false claims they "approved". THE WHOLE THING STINKS.
And then MPs have the nerve to say they were just acting within the rules and expect sympathy. They have the moral fibre of slugs.
The people in the fees office should be made to explain why they approved expenses that clearly had no legitimate reason to be made i.e. furthering the political cause. When they can't the police should be called as they were committing fraud.
