then you get shafted by paypal just to get your money into your account
i read an article the other day that was something like if you want to make £100 from an item it would have to go for over £110 if you had a half decent add and took all fees into account.
i love ebay for buying, but i really try to avoid selling on there unless it's a popular item.

Crap for selling now.
I no longer use it as they force you to offer paypal on most stuff (not cars) so you get shafted for listing, FVFs and then paypal (owned by ebay) who lube you up and shaft you again.
And that's if you don't get paypal allowing a charge-back from a dodgy buyer.

It happened to me over 2 years ago, i was told i owed £21, but i had paid it, i even sent them their own invoice to show i had paid it but my account got suspended. They have never dealt with the issue and stopped replying to my emails.
I have never bothered with ebay since

ebay is what it is - it's great for getting rid of crap. I hardly ever fail to sell an item i want to get rid of (although not always at a price I'd like).
I've tried selling stuff in the for sale section on here, for example, and in comparison to ebay it's a night mare. You have to keep bumping your threads, get loads of dreamers offering silly prices etc. Not for me

I've just had similar, selling an item for £150 and them taking £15 of it
I shall use it for buying ONLY now.
Once word of this gets around, and sellers see what's going on, they will either have to bump prices by putting reserves on, and thus not sell, or use BIN and not sell. They will lose trade, lose money and withdraw, so the buyers lose too. It's pure greed and I don't understand it when they are already a rich organisation and there's a recession.
I wonder if there's any mileage in a few of us getting together and setting up our own "F-bay", with cheaper costs?

T&C's...............well, yes, but then they go and change them
Do YOU read EVERY detail in EVERY e-mail YOU get? I certainly don't.
I have e-mailed them saying I refuse to sell anything else with them, and that I think the present system is badly biased against traders/buyers dealing in more expensive items.
No wonder the £950 deals on the D300 disappeared overnight even BEFORE the robbing Japs put the price to UK buyers up. £95 to e-bay for selling one, even before you've paid any listing fees.
